After all, 40% of the global population now plays video games. And because games regularly draw on the work of archaeologists, historians, linguists, and geneticists, we’re seeing hard science and facts go head-to-head with feelings and fake news —and lose.
This means that a video game, sometimes with a nudge from its creator or publisher, can actually churn out misinformation and warp history—and by extension, our future. On the flip side, it can also be a massive force for educating and bridging the gap between academia and the business world.
