FAQ

Tickets

Where can I buy tickets?

We recommend purchasing tickets for Colours of Ostrava online – it’s simple and convenient to do so in advance. Online sales will continue throughout the festival. The ticket office at the main entrance to the DolnĂ VĂtkovice area will be available only for holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability cards.

Only buy tickets through the official Colours of Ostrava website. We do not recommend purchasing from online marketplaces or resale platforms – this way, you can avoid issues with ticket authenticity and disappointment at the festival entrance.

Tickets

Will tickets be available on-site?

At the ticket office at the main entrance to the DolnĂ VĂtkovice area, only tickets for holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards will be available for purchase at a discounted price of 1,190 CZK. Payment is cashless only.

For all other tickets, online sales will remain available throughout the festival.

How do you identify yourself at the entrance to the festival?

To enter the Colours of Ostrava venue, you must exchange your ticket for an identification wristband, which you will need to show each time you enter the festival grounds.

Do not remove your wristband under any circumstances until the end of the festival. If you leave the venue and plan to return the same day, you must check out at the gate by tapping the chip on your wristband against the reader—just like you did when entering the venue.

If you are unable to present a valid wristband, you will not be allowed entry into the festival grounds.

All visitors are required to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Festival Attendance.

Take advantage of the opportunity to exchange your ticket for a festival wristband before the event and enjoy Colours without the wait! Detailed information about this service will be announced well in advance. However, we can already confirm that Luxor Bookstore branches in Prague, Brno, and Ostrava will be available for this purpose.

COLOURS WITHOUT WAITING

Is it true that seniors aged 65 and over have free admission to the festival on Saturday?

Yes, just like every year, all visitors aged 65 and over have free admission to the festival on Saturday. All they need to do is present a valid ID at the entrance.

Practical

Opening hours of the Colours of Ostrava 2025 festival grounds:

  • Wednesday, July 16, 2025: 12:00 PM – 2:30 AM
  • Thursday, July 17, 2025: 11:00 AM – 2:30 AM

  • Saturday, July 19, 2025: 11:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Is the festival accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Absolutely yes. As part of the Colours Without Barriers project, we make it easier for visitors with reduced mobility to enjoy the festival without worries, allowing them to fully experience the music and other programs in the barrier-free area of DolnĂ VĂtkovice.

For several years now, our standard services have included a discounted ticket price for holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability cards, free admission for an accompanying person with a ZTP/P card, special viewing platforms, a Colours Without Barriers Chill-out Zone, barrier-free transportation within the city of Ostrava, and the option to book a trained assistant.

MORE

Are children allowed at the festival?

Of course. Entertainment for our young visitors will be provided by the ÄŚEZ Family Park, which was created with the support of Nadace ÄŚEZ. Children can look forward to a packed schedule of music and theater performances, as well as sports and creative workshops.

Parents of infants will find full support at the Nursing Tent. Throughout the entire festival, it will offer a peaceful space for relaxation and care for the little ones. Microwaves, kettles, and—last but not least—hygiene essentials provided by Procter & Gamble will be available.

Families can also take advantage of childcare services provided by trained professionals full of energy. This service is available from the festival gates opening until 8 PM. Childcare is subject to a fee of 100 CZK per hour.

Additionally, children under 140 cm in height get free entry to the festival.

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

No, they are not. Although we’re big fans of pets, we kindly ask you to leave your four-legged friends at home. Dogs are not allowed in the festival area. The only exception is for assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities.

What should I bring to the festival?

Besides a good mood, don’t forget to bring, for example:

  • ID card or passport
  • Health insurance card
  • Personal medications and hygiene essentials
  • Sturdy shoes (the venue is large, and you’ll do a lot of walking)
  • Your ticket
  • Sun protection – a hat, sunscreen
  • Clothing suitable for both hot days and cool nights
  • A raincoat (leave umbrellas at home – they are not allowed inside the venue)
  • Sleeping bag, tent, and sleeping mat if you’re staying at the campsite
  • Phone charger

We recommend leaving valuables like jewelry, laptops, cameras, or expensive mobile phones at home.

Is it better to pay by card or in cash at the festival?

This year’s Colours of Ostrava will once again be completely cashless. Payments throughout the festival grounds can be made using standard payment cards such as VISA or Mastercard, as well as via phones or smartwatches. We will not be accepting cash at all – not even at food stalls. Several previous editions have confirmed that card payments are the fastest and most convenient option, even at a music festival.

For those of you who don’t own a payment card or happen to forget yours at home, we’ve arranged the option to purchase a prepaid card. These cards will be valid only during the festival and exclusively within the festival grounds.

Am I allowed to take photos and record videos at the festival?

Due to the requirements of the main headliners, the use of cameras and video equipment during the festival is subject to strict regulations.

Photo

At the festival, photography with professional cameras is only permitted for accredited photographers who are working for selected media outlets (marked as PHOTO and VIP PHOTO). Visitors are only allowed to bring non-professional automatic cameras—compact cameras that cannot be used with an external flash. The main distinguishing feature is the lens size: compact camera vs. DSLR with a large protruding or detachable lens. During headliner performances, photography is strictly prohibited. This measure is in place due to contractual agreements and restrictions set by some performers, particularly the headliners.

Video

Recording video or using any other format is strictly prohibited. The only exception is for pre-accredited film crews. Anyone who violates these rules may disrupt the performance of certain artists.

You can reserve a spot at the campsite directly via this link.

If you prefer accommodation in a guesthouse or hotel, we recommend contacting these establishments directly. To make your choice easier, we’ve put together a list of the nearest ones.
