FAQ

Tickets

Will 1-day tickets be available this year?

Four-day tickets are currently on sale, and two-day tickets are also planned.

Will one-day tickets be available this year?

This year, we upgraded one-day tickets to two-day passes for a very similar price – the first ticket wave was even the same price. This allows visitors to enjoy more concerts, more programme, and the full festival atmosphere.

One-day VIP+ tickets are also available.

Buy ticket

Where can I buy tickets?

We recommend purchasing your Colours of Ostrava tickets online in advance – it’s the easiest and most convenient option. During the festival, a ticket office will also operate at the main entrance to the Dolní Vítkovice area, where you can buy regular tickets as well as tickets for visitors with ZTP and ZTP/P cards

Only buy tickets through the official Colours of Ostrava website. We do not recommend purchasing from online marketplaces or resale platforms – this way, you can avoid issues with ticket authenticity and disappointment at the festival entrance.

In December, you can also purchase printed four-day tickets at OC Forum Nová Karolina in Ostrava, where our team will be available at a stand in front of the Luxor bookstore on selected Wednesdays. Our hostesses will issue your ticket on the spot and add a small gift as well.

Tickets

Will tickets be available on-site?

During the festival, tickets will also be available at the ticket office located at the main entrance to the DolnĂ VĂtkovice area. You can purchase both regular tickets and discounted tickets for visitors with ZTP or ZTP/P cards (1,490 CZK). Payment is possible by card only.

Online ticket sales will remain available throughout the entire festival.

How do you identify yourself at the entrance to the festival?

To enter the Colours of Ostrava venue, you must exchange your ticket for an identification wristband, which you will need to show each time you enter the festival grounds.

Do not remove your wristband under any circumstances until the end of the festival. If you leave the venue and plan to return the same day, you must check out at the gate by tapping the chip on your wristband against the reader—just like you did when entering the venue.

If you are unable to present a valid wristband, you will not be allowed entry into the festival grounds.

All visitors are required to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Festival Attendance.

We are currently preparing up-to-date information on where and how you will be able to exchange your tickets for wristbands before the festival.

Is it true that seniors aged 65 and over have free admission to the festival on Saturday?

Yes, just like every year, all visitors aged 65 and over have free admission to the festival on Saturday. All they need to do is present a valid ID at the entrance.

Practical

CAN I FIND BREATHALYZERS AT THE FESTIVAL?

Yes. If you’d like to check your blood alcohol level before driving home, you can use the breathalyzers located near the exit by Gong.

Medical Assistance Phone Number?

+ 420 736 151 464

Can I bring a small child to the festival? What can I bring with me?

Yes. Children are very welcome at Colours, and we’ve prepared the ČEZ Family Park especially for families with young children.

You are welcome to bring a stroller and everything your little one needs, including baby food and drinks.

In general, bringing your own food and beverages into the festival area is not permitted. However, exceptions apply to parents with young children, pregnant women, and visitors with special dietary needs or medical diets. Free drinking water is also available throughout the festival site.

You can also borrow children’s hearing protection at the Main Entrance for a refundable deposit.

CAN I COLLECT MULTIPLE WRISTBANDS FOR ONE PERSON?

No. Each person may wear only one identification wristband, it is not possible to collect multiple wristbands for one person.

Is the festival accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Absolutely yes. As part of the Colours Without Barriers project, we make it easier for visitors with reduced mobility to enjoy the festival without worries, allowing them to fully experience the music and other programs in the barrier-free area of DolnĂ VĂtkovice.

For several years now, our standard services have included a discounted ticket price for holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability cards, free admission for an accompanying person with a ZTP/P card, special viewing platforms, a Colours Without Barriers Chill-out Zone, barrier-free transportation within the city of Ostrava, and the option to book a trained assistant.

MORE

Are children allowed at the festival?

Of course. Entertainment for our young visitors will be provided by the ÄŚEZ Family Park, which was created with the support of Nadace ÄŚEZ. Children can look forward to a packed schedule of music and theater performances, as well as sports and creative workshops.

Parents of infants will find full support at the nursing tent. Throughout the entire festival, it will offer a peaceful space for relaxation and care for the little ones. Microwaves, kettles, and—last but not least—hygiene essentials provided by Procter & Gamble will be available.

Families can also take advantage of childcare services provided by trained professionals full of energy. This service is available from the festival gates opening until 8 PM. Childcare is subject to a fee of 100 CZK per hour.

Additionally, children under 140 cm in height get free entry to the festival.

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

No, they are not. Although we’re big fans of pets, we kindly ask you to leave your four-legged friends at home. Dogs are not allowed in the festival area. The only exception is for assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities.

What should I bring to the festival?

Besides a good mood, don’t forget to bring, for example:

  • ID card or passport
  • Health insurance card
  • Personal medications and hygiene essentials
  • Sturdy shoes (the venue is large, and you’ll do a lot of walking)
  • Your ticket
  • Sun protection – a hat, sunscreen
  • Clothing suitable for both hot days and cool nights
  • A raincoat (leave umbrellas at home – they are not allowed inside the venue)
  • Sleeping bag, tent, and sleeping mat if you’re staying at the campsite
  • Phone charger

We recommend leaving valuables like jewelry, laptops, cameras, or expensive mobile phones at home.

Is it better to pay by card or in cash at the festival?

This year’s Colours of Ostrava will once again be completely cashless. Payments throughout the festival grounds can be made using standard payment cards such as VISA or Mastercard, as well as via phones or smartwatches. We will not be accepting cash at all – not even at food stalls. Several previous editions have confirmed that card payments are the fastest and most convenient option, even at a music festival.

For those of you who don’t own a payment card or happen to forget yours at home, we’ve arranged the option to purchase a prepaid card. These cards will be valid only during the festival and exclusively within the festival grounds.

Thank you for your interest in selling your products at Colours of Ostrava! Applications for the upcoming edition are not open yet. If you are interested in working with us or have any questions, please contact us at stanky@colours.cz.

Am I allowed to take photos and record videos at the festival?

Due to the requirements of the main headliners, the use of cameras and video equipment during the festival is subject to strict regulations.

Photo

At the festival, photography with professional cameras is only permitted for accredited photographers who are working for selected media outlets (marked as PHOTO and VIP PHOTO). Visitors are only allowed to bring non-professional automatic cameras—compact cameras that cannot be used with an external flash. The main distinguishing feature is the lens size: compact camera vs. DSLR with a large protruding or detachable lens. During headliner performances, photography is strictly prohibited. This measure is in place due to contractual agreements and restrictions set by some performers, particularly the headliners.

Video

Recording video or using any other format is strictly prohibited. The only exception is for pre-accredited film crews. Anyone who violates these rules may disrupt the performance of certain artists.

Accommodation

WHEN AND WHERE CAN I BOOK A PLACE AT THE CAMPSITES?

We’ll be sharing more information about camping options and accommodation at our campsites very soon. Keep an eye on our website and social media so you don’t miss any updates.

Do I need to have my festival wristband before arriving at the campsite?

No. You can arrive at the campsite with a valid festival ticket only. Your ticket will be exchanged for a festival wristband upon arrival, and you will also receive a campsite wristband. There is no need to collect your festival wristband at another exchange point before coming to the campsite.

Food & Drinks

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the festival?

Bringing your drinks into the festival area is not allowed. We believe you will find something to enjoy from the wide selection of food and beverages available at the official stalls. Free drinking water is available on-site.

Exceptions apply to pregnant women, parents with small children, and visitors with special dietary requirements or medical dietary restrictions.

However, you are allowed to bring your food and drinks into the camping area.

Can I bring my own food and alcohol to the campsite?

Yes, bringing your food and drinks into the tent city is allowed.
