Vít Svoboda earned his PhD in chemical physics from ETH Zurich, focusing on ultrafast processes in molecules excited by light. He then conducted postdoctoral research at JILA, a renowned institute of the University of Colorado Boulder and NIST in the USA. In 2024, he was awarded two prestigious grants that enabled him to establish his own research group at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.
His group explores attosecond spectroscopy and the dynamics of chiral molecules—phenomena unfolding on the shortest timescales known to science. Alongside his research, Vít is also dedicated to science communication and outreach.
