Her professional focus has consistently centred on understanding how individuals perceive their work, what motivates them, and the meaning they attribute to their efforts—topics that are particularly relevant to today’s younger generation.
As a psychologist, she provides psychological support to university students and practices cognitive-behavioural therapy. Her academic research lies at the intersection of cognitive and social psychology, with a focus on how people evaluate performance and seek meaning in both their professional and personal lives.
In addition to her research, she is actively involved in the popularisation of science and the development of international research collaborations. She currently serves as Chancellor at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, where she is also dedicated to fostering a socially safe environment and promoting respect, openness, and cooperation within the academic community.
