CASHLESS PAYMENT SYSTEM
The Colours of Ostrava 2026 festival once again operates exclusively as a cashless event. Payments within the festival grounds can only be made using electronic payment methods that support cashless transactions. Cash payments will only be accepted at the sales point where so-called prepaid cards are issued. These cards can be topped up either with cash or through cashless payment methods.
The main reason for introducing the cashless system is to speed up the payment process. This helps reduce waiting times at stalls and minimizes the need to queue at ATMs. Other significant benefits of the system include greater convenience and enhanced payment security.
PREPAID CARDS
What is a prepaid card
A prepaid card is an alternative way to make cashless payments within the festival grounds. You can purchase one on-site for CZK 100. The card is valid only for the duration of the festival and cannot be used outside the festival area.
The card can be topped up with cash, a payment card, a mobile phone, or other electronic payment methods. It can be used at all terminals supporting the festival payment system, except for locations with individual settings.
The cards are anonymous and are not linked to any personal data.
How to purchase, manage, and check the balance
In accordance with Act No. 253/2008 Coll., a prepaid card can be topped up with a maximum amount of EUR 150 (approximately CZK 3,600). When purchasing or topping up the card, you will receive a receipt containing payment details.
The remaining balance can be checked on the receipt from your most recent transaction, where it is always displayed at the bottom of the receipt.
Refund of unused balance
You can request a refund of any unused balance by completing the following form: LINK TO THE FORM
Alternatively, you can request a cashless refund of your remaining balance by email.
Please send the following information to terminaly@colours.cz:
- Full name
- Prepaid card number
- Phone number
- Bank account number where you would like the refund to be sent
Minimum refundable amounts
For Czech bank accounts:
The minimum refundable amount is CZK 50.
For foreign bank accounts:
The refunded amount will be reduced by a bank fee of CZK 250. Refunds are therefore only possible for balances exceeding CZK 250. For example, if your card balance is CZK 350, you will receive CZK 100.
