Sacred Songs of the Amazon

Vypravěčský stan

The sacred songs of the Amazon — known as Huni Meka and Pakarin — are passed down from generation to generation. Huni Meka are ceremonial songs sung with specific intentions, such as calling in or softening the effects of natural medicines. Pakarin songs are used for specific purposes — for example, to deepen connection with the Earth, for protection during hunting, or to open oneself to new opportunities.

Together, we will immerse ourselves in the world of sacred Amazonian songs, learn about their significance, and discover songs we can integrate into our everyday lives — for protection or connection with nature.

We will also learn a few basic words from the Huni Kuin language — Hatxã Kuin — one of the few remaining Indigenous Amazonian languages that has retained its original form.
