His expertise encompasses explosion prevention and protection, hydrogen technology safety, and the emergency response of pressurised systems. He actively contributes to research initiatives examining the secure transportation, storage, and use of hydrogen, with his findings regularly appearing in peer-reviewed international publications. In his capacity as Vice-Dean for Science and Research, he also leads the Centre of Excellence for Safety Research (CESAR), an organisation that connects academic research with industrial application and technological advancement.
