For him, the circular economy is not an abstract concept but a practical tool for making more efficient use of materials and supporting long-term prosperity. As part of the research team at INCIEN, he monitors developments in European legislation, identifies examples of good practice, and provides concrete recommendations for industry, particularly in the automotive and steel sectors.
Tadeáš Rulík studied industrial design, where he first recognised the importance of responsible material use at the product design stage. Drawing on both his academic background and his work at INCIEN, he focuses on connecting theoretical knowledge with practical implementation, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, and building partnerships.
Alongside project management and analytical work, he has also contributed to municipal mixed-waste analyses. In 2024, he participated as a circular design expert in the preparation of the Czech pavilion for the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, which later received the Green Exhibitor Award for the most sustainable exhibition.
