Shrex: Hra o přežití

Gong stage - Malý sál

A grotesquely absurd conversational comedy tackling generational themes of Gen Z.

Four characters wake up in an unknown space. They have been abducted by the “Puzzle Killer” as punishment for their bad (limitlessly selfish) behaviour: a girl who doesn’t pick up after her dog, a self-pitying fuckboy, a pathological liar, a fanatical Havel fangirl, and a drug addict. They must fight for survival in a parody inspired by Saw.

Self-centredness and hypocrisy are just two of many unpleasant traits embodied by these “terrible characters.” They are incapable of staying silent and get trapped in bizarre, looping conversations. Their irreversibly distorted personalities hold up a mirror to everything and everyone—except themselves, as they never take the blame.

Recommended for audiences aged 15+.

Creative team:

Director: Ondra Kulhavý

Dramaturgy and script: Adina Šulcová

Set design: Agáta Slámová

Production: Anna Křepínská, Vojtěch Sochor

Cast: Sebastian Šikl, Simona Lewandowska, Vavřinec Volek, Radek Lajfr, Adina Šulcová, Martin Mlčouch

Theatre Programme Dramaturg David Mírek: This is wild. Simona Lewandowska, one of the most in-demand young actresses and a Czech Lion award winner, plays a devoted Havel supporter trying to break free from it. Sebastian Šikl, an influencer with massive reach, appears in a female role. Together with the rest of the cast, they fight for survival in situations that are as absurd as they are familiar. It attracts audiences across generations, but it resonates most strongly with Gen Z.
