Sara Polak connects the past with the future – literally. Originally trained in archaeology and evolutionary anthropology, she left the excavation sites behind to dive into the world of technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
She is the co-founder of the Mobilis Institute, Culture Quest, and the Humanities Engineering Network, has worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, and founded the CCHAOS Research Group at the Czech Technical University. Her work focuses on digitizing cultural heritage and exploring how modern technologies can help advance civilization.
She has been recognized with Forbes 30 Under 30, Top Innovator 2022, and the Business Revolution Award. She believes that humanity’s future depends on education and interdisciplinarity – a vision she puts into practice through her think tank Civilisational Resilience.
She loves big dogs, steampunk, historical trivia, Monty Python, and roast duck with red cabbage and dumplings. And thanks to her, you’ll discover that science and technology can be just as fun as they are smart.
