Fans of Colours of Ostrava have been familiar with these two punk rockers for some time, and the same goes for their fans in Brno. Two years prior, they had already wowed listeners with their unique musical style, blending the sounds of traditional Estonian instruments with contemporary elements.
The hiiu kannel, a traditional Estonian lyre, brought the two musicians together in 2014. Before this collaboration, Ramo had been honing his solo work under the pseudonym Pastacas, while Marko, a trained anthropologist, had a very different path. Their debut album, released in 2018, showcased their distinctive take on traditional music, infused with electronic influences, bold experimentation, and, of course, a punk attitude. The cover art of their second album, Viimane Suusataja (2021), perfectly encapsulates their spirit: the duo standing in their signature outfits on a pair of skis, ready for an exhilarating ride. This promises to be an unforgettable journey!
