Weather forecasting, including road surface conditions, is his area of expertise. Petr Zacharov, a meteorologist, climatologist, and geographer at the Czech Academy of Sciences, also specialises in severe storms and tornadoes. Part of his work takes him to Milešovka, the windiest meteorological observatory in the Czech Republic, where he serves as an observer.
