When you grow up in a family where illegal 1990s rave parties are almost a daily routine, it leaves a mark. In the best possible way. A DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, she comes from an environment that shaped her view of rave culture as an authentic, uncompromising space. She’s been immersed in electronic music and dance culture since childhood – her family was behind festivals and the legendary Multigroove rave parties in Amsterdam, back when techno wasn’t a trend, but a way of life.
Today, Olive Anguz moves freely across techno without locking herself into a single box. In her sets and productions, she blends different shades of harder electronic music and openly cites influences such as Nina Kraviz and Paul Kalkbrenner. Her sets are built on tension, pressure, and a careful sense of energy – not for effect, but for that moment when the entire dancefloor starts moving as one. Did someone say a party in July?
