He began his career as a geologist, but gradually moved into industry, where he now stands behind one of the Czech Republic’s notable engineering groups. After selling his own company in the early 2000s, he acquired the engineering company ČKD Hronov and went on to build what is now the Wikov Industry holding, a key player in the field of industrial gear systems.
Alongside engineering, he is also active in design and glassmaking – behind brands such as Bomma and Rückl. He operates at the intersection of business, industry, and design, showing that traditional sectors can evolve with a strong focus on quality and aesthetics.
He is also involved in broader discussions about the future direction of the Czech economy. He takes part in initiatives that aim to move Czech industry forward – towards higher added value, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
