Martin Rybář

He currently works at Charles University in Prague, where he also earned his Ph.D. in particle physics. Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Illinois and Columbia University in New York.

Today, he leads the international Heavy Ion Physics Group within the ATLAS experiment at CERN, where he studies the matter that existed shortly after the Big Bang. He is an enthusiastic science communicator, having organised astronomy schools and delivered lectures for students and the general public.

Together with several friends, he co-founded the Science to Go project, which promotes scientific topics through a series of short public talks.
