After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Palacký University Olomouc, he decided to pursue music full-time. As both a performer and songwriter, he has collaborated with a number of Czech artists, including Lenny, Mirai, Adam Mišík, and Paulie Garand. Formerly the frontman of the band No Distance Paradise, he now performs as Marcell and, together with producer fiedlerski, forms one of the most distinctive songwriting partnerships on the contemporary Czech pop scene.
His album Hovory domů, as well as his collaborative projects with fiedlerski, Duše, která opustila tento svět, váží 21 gramů and Pizza Pivo Dolce Vita, have been praised for their distinctive style, powerful lyrics, and modern production. Alongside his music career, he briefly returned to medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, working as a physician at Na Františku Hospital in Prague. He also appeared in the television reality show The Traitors.
