Marcell & fiedlerski

“We got lost, and then we found ourselves, who knows what comes next,” sings Marcell in his single Déšť. But we do know what comes next – a performance at Colours of Ostrava!

Marcel Procházka has been a fixture in the music scene for years. With his Olomouc-based band No Distance Paradise, he masterfully captured the energy of catchy guitar-driven indie rock, drawing inspiration from the UK’s indie scene. But Marcel soon ventured solo, shifting from the independent music world towards the mainstream, only to realize that the space where he truly belongs is the one where he can be himself. In that sense, his journey mirrors the confidence he showed in earning his medical degree.

His debut solo album, Hovory domů, arrived in 2022, with themes of separation and self-searching. But it was his second album, DUŠE, KTERÁ OPUSTILA TENTO SVĚT, VÁŽÍ 21 GRAMŮ (released in late 2023), that explored deeper emotions of loss. The record served as a personal reflection not only from Marcel but also from the album’s producer and co-author fiedlerski, who had recently lost his father. The collaboration between Marcel and fiedlerski continued with Vanilkové nebe, a track released on Valentine’s Day, heralding the upcoming album due in the first half of 2025. This new work promises to be infused with positivity and fresh energy, drawn from the time they spent in the Italian countryside. Along with new tracks, fans can expect to hear some of the old favorites in their live set, with Matyáš Vorda joining them on drums. Molto bello, non vediamo l´ora!
