Born in Děčín, Lucie Krausová is one of the most promising young talents in Czech ski cross. At the age of eighteen, she represented the Czech Republic at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, where she was the youngest member of the Czech team.
She is a multiple Czech and Austrian ski cross champion. Her path to elite skiing was somewhat unconventional, as she first devoted herself to volleyball before turning her full attention to skiing. Alongside her sporting career, she studies at a grammar school in Česká Kamenice.
Sport runs in her family. She is the daughter of Tomáš Kraus, a two-time Ski Cross World Champion, who also serves as her coach.
