Their unpredictability, creativity, and boldness turn every concert into an unforgettable ritual, existing only in the memories of those lucky enough to witness it. With experimentation at their core, intensity as their driving force, and playfulness as their spice, Los Sara Fontan delivers a truly immersive experience.
The artistic duo, Sara Fontan and Edi Pou (also a member of the legendary Catalan underground band Za!), made a conscious decision in 2017 to never release a recorded album, preferring instead to surprise audiences at every live show. This approach lasted for five years, during which they performed hundreds of concerts across Europe, sharing the stage with artists like Tarta Relena, Blanca Llum Vidal, and dancer Sònia Gómez. Their eclectic and playful sound has accompanied silent films, theater productions, and dance performances. However, their music truly shines in the seemingly simple duo format, where the connection, interplay, and imagination between the two musicians take center stage. Their debut album, Queda Pendiente (2023), doesn’t mark a departure from their original principles but rather signals the start of a new chapter, one that continues to embrace exploration, playfulness, and discovery. Their performance at Colours will feature a brand-new repertoire.
