Moving between Berlin and New York, Kotiēr belongs to a young generation of producers who take their time and refuse to be rushed into quick solutions. He grew up with the piano from an early age, and a strong sense for melody and harmony remains central to his work. His focus isn’t on how many details can be packed into a track, but on keeping the music clear, emotional and human. As he puts it himself, the goal is not to let technique overpower feeling – and to leave room for imperfection if it works.
Kotiēr brings the same mindset into his DJ sets. They are not built around flashy moments, but around tension, flow and atmosphere. Even his name, inspired by the French word côtier – meaning coastal – reflects his interest in movement, rhythm and a natural sense of flow he aims to create through music. He has performed at venues such as CORE Tulum, Soho Garden in Dubai and Elsewhere in New York. With that same approach, he will also appear at Colours of Ostrava this year.
