He has spent years moving through the world of energy, where decisions are made that directly shape everyday life. Karel Hirman is among those who do not see energy as numbers in spreadsheets, but as a matter of security, stability, and responsibility toward society as a whole.
Over the years, he has worked across energy companies, public administration, and international projects, advising Slovak prime ministers and ministers on issues of energy security. He was part of advisory teams for Ukraine and Moldova and, in 2022, became Slovakia’s Minister of Economy. At the height of the energy crisis, he was involved in steps that helped stabilize energy supplies and keep prices at an acceptable level.
