Mgr. Kamil Matula, Ph.D. is passionate about information technologies and the opportunities and challenges they bring to society. He has found a unique way to bridge the worlds of computer science and information science at the Institute of Computer Science of the School of Philosophy and Science at Silesian University in Opava, where he serves as an Assistant Professor.
In his seminars, he encourages students to think from the perspective of future users for whom they will one day develop information systems, software applications, and other digital solutions. His goal is to ensure that they never forget there is always a human being, or perhaps another form of intelligence, on the other side of the screen.
Since 2024, he has also served as Vice-Rector for Strategy and Digitalisation at Silesian University in Opava.
