He began working at the zoo in 1996 and gradually held a number of positions before moving into its leadership.
He studied a natural sciences program with a focus on biology. After initially working behind the scenes in the zoo’s facilities, he served as an animal keeper and later as a zoologist. In 2008, he became Head of the Zoological Department, where he began contributing to the expansion of species diversity as well as to the overall development of the zoo.
He was appointed Director in 2021. He continues the work of his predecessor and has long advocated for a modern approach to zoological gardens focused primarily on the conservation of endangered species and their preservation in the wild.
