At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, the transformation of the global economy, and growing pressure on the European economy, economics has become one of the defining issues of our time.
Jan Frait is Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank and an expert in macroeconomics, monetary theory, and financial stability. He has worked at the central bank for more than twenty years, has also contributed to financial stability analysis at the European level, and served as a professor of economics at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. In his public appearances, he offers a broader perspective on economics in the context of today’s social and global changes.
