He currently serves as Head of the Oncology Department at Ostrava University Hospital. He is Vice-Chair of the Czech Society for Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics and a member of professional organisations including ESTRO, ASTRO, ISRS, EORTC, and the Czech Oncology Society.
In recent years, he has participated in several major research projects funded by organisations such as the Czech Health Research Council and the European Commission’s Horizon programme.
He is the co-author of several professional books and dozens of scientific publications and conference papers. His primary research interests include radiobiology and stereotactic radiotherapy.
