Humans and trees – creatures from the same root

Singer and musician Mari Kalkun brings us to the archaic world of singing and poetry called the runosong. Introducing the 4000-year-old song tradition, where most of the songs are connected to nature and trees, Kalkun’s stories and songs take us to her home region in Southern Estonia, offering an insight of her own music creation inspired by the forest and contemporary Estonian poetry.
