Not all rap is the same. This is a trio that takes rap mainly as a space for freedom, perspective and doing things their own way. At the front are Alena Novotná and Štěpánka Todorová, with beats and Taťko Maťko, holding it down behind them. They rap in Czech, playfully and without posing. They deal with the stuff everyone deals with: girls, boys, pressure, ego, relationships, the world around us – sometimes politics, sometimes very much anti-politics. Basically whatever is happening here and now. Live, it’s not just a concert, but a show where rap blends with humour, irony and performance.
HIHIHAHAHOLKY is a project that was born at DAMU, and that theatrical atmosphere is still very much part of it. You can feel that crossover both in their music and on stage. The trio have already released their debut album Pinky Winky Lifeand a second record, The Adventures of Jessica and Angie, a conceptual story of two main characters with a feminist take on the world. At the end of January 2026, their new album Ssscream is coming out. And we believe this summer in Ostrava will be just as much of a hit as they sing in their track Hon: “Let’s not change anything at all – this summer will be a hit.” If you’re looking for a concert where there’s rap, laughter and a bit of provocation, you’re in the right place.
