Artistic interpretation of live concerts into Czech Sign Language helps make musical experiences accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. It goes far beyond translating song lyrics, capturing rhythm, tempo, emotion and the overall atmosphere of each performance.
Hands Dance is a team of Deaf and hearing interpreters who have been specialising in artistic music interpretation since 2014. As part of the Colours Without Barriers programme, they have been working with Colours of Ostrava since 2018. Every performance is prepared with exceptional care to transform the concert experience into a visual form.
This year, they will provide sign language interpretation for concerts by Mirai, Kateřina Marie Tichá and The Tap Tap.
