Mgr. Hana Komárková, Ph.D. has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Historical Sciences of Silesian University in Opava since 2017, specialising in medieval history. Her research focuses on the towns of Silesia in the Late Middle Ages and the Early Modern period, with particular emphasis on urban institutions, ruling elites, and everyday life in medieval and early modern towns.
She is also actively involved in public engagement and science communication. Her lectures explore topics such as medieval clothing, perceptions of time, and accounts of natural disasters in medieval chronicles. She also organises workshops dedicated to the production of medieval medicines and cosmetics.
