As a scientist, he currently studies the flagella of parasites that cause sleeping sickness. In particular, he focuses on the proteins that shape these flagella and influence their function. Tiny microscopic structures deciding whether humanity sleeps peacefully or collapses into disease. Nature always did have a flair for dramatic scale.
His interest in science also extends beyond the walls of the laboratory. Through the project Vědátor, he writes popular science articles and comments on scientific news and topics. In his free time, he most enjoys spending time in the Beskydy mountains or immersed in a good story, whether in the form of a book, film or game.
