Are we still cool even after the split? Are we rana a nôž? Dvaja blázni na mori? Do we just give each other nice names? Or do we have a thousand dôvodov for a hundred breakups? Do we still understand each other?
A band made up of all members of the ensemble opens up a safe space at Gong for dangerously soothing nostalgia and questions about where žúr ends and večírek begins. This staged concert, directed by Anna Davidová, brings to life the most iconic Slovak melodies alongside the most awkward Czech stereotypes. A večírek, or rather žúr, becomes a renewed dialogue between nations that not even a state border managed to divide. But what times are actually flashing nad Tatrouthese days?

Theatre Programme Dramaturg David Mírek: As entertaining as a mullet and as long as Palo Habera’s shorts. The “Slovak song” is a phenomenon that blends respect, mockery and admiration. The legendary Husa na provázku theatre has taken this theme head-on, and the production is hopelessly sold out in Brno. Among the award-winning creatives is one of the most sought-after scenographers today, Marek Cpin, along with several Thálie award holders (Marečková, Matulová – Špinarka). Anna Davidová has also directed Pravidla buncárny at Colours.
