One Year. Two at the most.
So thought a 22-year old Canadian in January, 1991 as he stepped off of the train in post-communist Czechoslovakia to begin teaching English at the gymnasium in the small town of Bílovec.
Today, Brett Gray leads the school he founded, TOIS – The Ostrava International School, recognised as a premier International Baccalaureate World School in Europe, and serves as the Board Chair of ACES – the Association of Central European IB Schools, with over 50 member schools across 15 countries.
His devotion to international mindedness is deeply rooted in his personal experiences growing up in Montreal, as well as his studies in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California, Arts and Literature at the Sorbonne, and Political Science and International Relations at Sciences Po in Paris.
