Growing up in Perth, Scotland, meant being surrounded by music from an early age. As a non-binary artist, Blair Davie was raised in an environment where guitars shared space with traditional bagpipe melodies, and songwriting became part of life at a young age. Music was not only a source of joy but also a refuge during periods of bullying. It was then that their relationship with writing began to take shape, resulting in songs that are open, personal and free from pretence.
Blair Davie moves between indie pop and singer-songwriter traditions, placing a strong emphasis on voice and guitar. Their latest EP, First and Last, is a deeply personal record exploring the evolution of a long-term relationship. They have collaborated with songwriters and producers connected to artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Kodaline, and have been recognised as one of the UK’s most promising emerging talents, including a nomination for the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award. On stage, Blair builds a connection with the audience through a carefully growing sense of intimacy and energy, not through spectacle, but through genuine belief in every song they perform.
