Axontorr

Maximalist production, where bursts of screamo vocals and glitchy elements clash amidst the chaos of abstract beats. Behind the debut project Settings lies the collaboration of Czech-French visual artist Simon Kounovsky, aka Axonbody, and Czech producer Oliver Torr.

Their approach blends improvisation, structured compositions, and avant-garde techniques with a strong focus on open-source tools and source code. Drawing inspiration from punk energy and a DIY spirit, Kounovsky and Torr transform these influences into a creative space with no boundaries for new ideas. Whether crafting peculiar digital instruments or tapping into strange sci-fi dreams filled with the sounds of laser harps, their work is anything but conventional.

Settings offer an intense, multi-sensory experience where digital and physical worlds intertwine seamlessly. This was evident during their premiere at the Lunchmeat Festival in Prague two years ago. Torr, known for his 2021 album Fragility of Context, which won the Vinyla Award, also contributed to the soundtrack of the 2024 documentary Ještě nejsem, kým chci být about Czech photographer Libuše Jarcovjáková. Kounovsky’s portfolio includes collaborations with stars like Dua Lipa, Shygirl, and Rosalía.
