A pak usnu a vstanu – Klicperovo divadlo Hradec Králové

Vítkovice Gong stage

A tribute to Zuzana Navarová, created in collaboration with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra and the band RAZAM.

The human soul is an intangible essence of a living being. But what does that really mean? What forms can it take, and is it possible to make it tangible through theatre and music? This is the story of an extraordinary artist who defied all standards and conventions. What is the price of uniqueness—and of complete authenticity? Theatre Programme Dramaturg David Mírek: The most demanding production of this year’s theatre programme—and also the most musical. Zuzana Navarová was from Hradec Králové, so who better to pay tribute than Klicperovo divadlo. The local ensemble has succeeded without pathos, capturing the atmosphere of her music, which blends tenderness, fragility, playfulness and strength, alongside theatrical imagery reflecting her life—one that ended far too soon. This is the only performance where tissues should probably be handed out. Directed by Pavel Khek, featuring vocals by Iva Marešová.
