Colours Tech Specs & Instructions

Thank you for being part of this year’s edition of Colours of Ostrava.

Whether you’re building stages, delivering equipment, operating food & beverage services, setting up partner activations or providing any other festival services, you are an essential part of the festival team.

This page contains all the information you need for a smooth setup, festival operation and dismantling.

💛 We recommend reading all the information before arriving on site. It will save both your time and ours.

🎫 TECHNICAL ACCREDITATION

All personnel entering the festival site must be registered in the accreditation system in advance and complete the accreditation process upon arrival.

What You’ll Need

  • a valid ID card or passport
  • registration in the accreditation system

Once your identity has been verified, you will receive a festival wristband granting access according to your assigned permissions.

⚠ Access to the festival site will not be permitted without a valid Technical Accreditation.

⚠ From Sunday, 12 July at 20:00, access to the festival site will only be possible with a valid Technical Accreditation.

🚗 SHORT-TERM PARKING FOR ACCREDITATION PICK-UP

Coming only to collect your Technical Accreditation?

On Monday, 13 July and Tuesday, 14 July 2026, you may use the Accessible Parking Area (P) located directly next to the Technical Accreditation office.

This parking area is intended only for the time required to collect your accreditation.

Once your accreditation has been issued, please move your vehicle immediately.

👷 PERSONNEL & VEHICLE REGISTRATION

Before arriving at the festival site, please make sure the following have been registered:

  • all personnel
  • all vehicles
  • vehicle registration numbers (license plates)

⚠ Access to the festival site will not be granted without prior registration.

🚛 VEHICLE ACCESS

During the setup period, Vítkovická Street operates as a one-way road from Místecká Street towards Ruská Street.

Please follow all instructions issued by the Production Team, Security staff and temporary traffic signage.

After unloading

Vehicles must be moved immediately to the designated parking area.

The following is strictly prohibited

  • blocking emergency access routes
  • blocking access roads
  • parking in loading or operational areas
  • blocking emergency exits

The festival site is not a parking area. Once unloading has been completed, vehicles must leave the festival grounds immediately.

🚙 VEHICLE MOVEMENT ON SITE

Maximum speed limit: 20 km/h

Thousands of people, forklifts, service vehicles and production equipment operate within the festival grounds. Please drive with extreme caution.

We strongly recommend using a banksman when reversing.

Vehicle movement is significantly restricted once the festival opens to the public.

🏗 HEAVY MACHINERY & MATERIAL HANDLING

The movement of forklifts, loaders, cranes and other heavy machinery is coordinated by the Festival Technical Production Team.

⚠ Do not enter operational areas without the operator’s permission.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

All electrical connections must be carried out exclusively by the Festival Electrical Team.

The following is prohibited

  • interfering with electrical installations
  • connecting equipment without Production approval
  • operating electrical distribution boards

All electrical equipment must comply with applicable safety regulations.

🦺 HEALTH & SAFETY

Safety is our highest priority.

Each contractor is responsible for the safety of its employees.

Please make sure to

  • wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • follow all instructions issued by the Production Team
  • comply with all Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations
  • protect yourself and those around you

🔥 FIRE SAFETY

Never block:

  • fire lanes
  • fire hydrants
  • fire extinguishers
  • emergency exits

Any hot works or fire-risk activities must be approved in advance by Festival Production.

🚭 ALCOHOL, DRUGS & SMOKING

❌ Working under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited anywhere on the festival site.

Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas.

Festival Production reserves the right to remove anyone who violates these rules from the festival site.

♻️ WASTE MANAGEMENT

Help us keep the festival site clean.

  • separate waste into the designated containers
  • keep your work area clean and tidy
  • leave your workspace in its original condition once your work has been completed

🏭 PROTECTION OF THE DOLNÍ VÍTKOVICE SITE

The Dolní Vítkovice complex is a protected National Cultural Heritage Site.

Without prior approval from Festival Production, it is strictly prohibited to:

  • drill
  • anchor
  • cut
  • weld
  • modify or interfere with any buildings or structures

⚠ Contractors are fully responsible for any damage caused to the venue.

📦 MATERIAL STORAGE

Materials may only be stored in locations approved by Festival Production.

❌ Roads, emergency routes and fire lanes must remain clear at all times.

🎪 FESTIVAL OPERATIONS

Once the festival opens to the public, enhanced safety regulations apply.

  • deliveries and restocking are permitted only during designated service hours
  • please follow all instructions issued by Festival Production and Security

🚨 EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

In the event of:

  • injury
  • fire
  • technical failure
  • any other emergency
