ABOUT PHOTO ACADEMY
Colours Photo Academy is the first official development program for photographers from the CZ/SK region who want to focus on music, festival and event photography.
We connect a community of photographers with mentoring, education and shared experience. Ten selected photographers will get the opportunity to photograph Colours of Ostrava 2026 under the guidance of the experienced festival photo team.

Regular online sessions with the Colours photo team, webinars focused on festival photography, portfolio reviews and practical feedback.
COMMUNITY 🤝
Connection with photographers from CZ/SK who share similar ambitions and interest in the music scene. A space to exchange experience, inspiration and know-how.
OPPORTUNITY 📸
Ten photographers selected from the community will become part of the Colours Photo Academy team and get the chance to photograph one of the most important European music festivals – Colours of Ostrava 2026.
WHO IS PHOTO ACADEMY FOR
The program is open to photographers who:
- photograph events, concerts, street, sports or documentary projects and are interested in music or festival photography
- want to learn from experienced professionals and grow their portfolio
- are looking for a community, not just a one-time “backstage” experience
- have a quality portfolio that shows the ability to capture real moments – people, atmosphere and emotions
If you want to apply for a spot in the team, you will also need:
- to be 18 years or older
- a solid Lightroom workflow and experience working with RAW files
- the ability to work under festival pressure and meet deadlines
- openness to feedback and motivation to keep improving
