Colours without barriers - Colours of Ostrava

Colours without barriers

This year, we are once again looking forward to welcoming our visitors with disabilities. As always, we aim to provide exceptional service that makes our festival unique in this regard. Through the Colours without Barriers project, we will make the festival experience more accessible, allowing these visitors to enjoy the music and other events in the barrier-free Dolní Vítkovice area without any worries. We believe that this project will help attract even more visitors with disabilities, both from the Czech Republic and abroad.

As part of our standard service, we have been offering a discounted ticket price for holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards for several years now. ZTP/P cardholders can also bring one accompanying person for free. We provide special viewing areas, barrier-free transport within the city of Ostrava, and the option to request a trained assistant.

The partner of the Colours without Barriers project is the company CTP.

Opening hours of the ZTP ticket office:

  • Monday 13.7. 2026: 14:00-20:00
  • Tuesday 14.7. 2026: 14:00-20:00
  • Wednesday 15.7.2026: 11:00-22:00
  • Thursday 16.7.2026: 11:00-22:00
  • Friday 17.7.2026: 11:00-22:00
  • Saturday 18.7.2026: 11:00-22:00

This year, we are introducing some exciting new features, including the Chill Out Zone Colours without Barriers, where our visitors with disabilities can find a space for relaxation. Another new service is the Pneuservice Colours without Barriers, where wheelchair users can have their manual or electric wheelchairs repaired in case of any issues. Both of these new areas will be marked on a special map for visitors with disabilities, which will be available at the festival.

We also offer visitors with disabilities the opportunity to reserve a place in the festival tent city including a parking spot. It is also possible to reserve a parking spot directly at the main entrance to the festival grounds. For all reservations, we have set up a new email address: rezervacebezbarier@colours.cz and the phone number +420 601 050 255.

This year, we have prepared essential practical information for our visitors with visual impairments, including a site map in Braille and a special 3D model of the Gong Hall for the blind.

For visitors with hearing impairments, we will offer selected discussions from the Meltingpot forum with sign language interpretation. Some selected concerts by both Czech and international bands will also be interpreted. Additionally, there will be a special zone in front of the main festival stage exclusively for visitors with hearing impairments.

To enhance the comfort of our visitors with disabilities, we have concentrated all important services in one location near the main entrance to the festival site. This will include an Info Point and the Colours without Barriers ticket booth, a barrier-free taxi stand, and parking spaces reserved exclusively for ZTP and ZTP/P visitors. We have also created a new Relax Zone Colours without Barriers within the festival grounds, offering a space for informal meetings and relaxation.

We would like to remind holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards to make sure to reserve their preferred program spots for the Meltingpot discussion forum and theatre performances at Vítkovice Gong Stage, NYC Stage, and Europe Stage via the GoOut booking system or the Colours of Ostrava website. We recommend making your reservations before the festival, but no later than 30 minutes before the program starts. Please note that you must arrive 15 minutes before the performance begins to secure your reservation, or it will be forfeited.
