I will try to answer the classic question "What are you doing at CERN?" The scientific list is really long, however the basic principles remain the same – to test nature at the very edge of our capabilities. We have got a huge “camera trap” from which there is no escape. Or is there? Where are the limits of technology and human imagination? Is it possible that light can scatter on light? And is it possible to keep chopping the matter to infinity?

Mirek works as a scientists at FNSPE CTU in Prague, where he deals with the research in the field of elementary particle physics. As a member of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC accelerator at CERN, Mirek focuses on the investigation of collisions of protons – hydrogen nuclei.
