In a time when freedom is under pressure in Slovakia, what is the role of culture and civil communities? Musician and Pohoda festival organiser Michal Kaščák and executive director of Díky, že můžem organisation, activist and cultural producer Bára Stárek will discuss how culture and civic engagement can influence the political process and defend democratic values.

Guided by moderator Andreas Papadopoulos, the debate will focus on concrete examples of how the activities of both speakers promote an open society, strengthen community life, and inspire others to speak out. Come and find out how each of us can contribute to protecting freedom, not only in Slovakia.
