Petra Trnková focuses on interdisciplinary applied research in medical physics, with an emphasis on developing methods to improve precision and efficiency in conventional and proton radiotherapy. She earned her engineering degree from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at CTU in Prague and her PhD from the Medical University of Vienna.
She has worked in leading research institutions including the Paul Scherrer Institute, Harvard Medical School, HollandPTC, and the Medical University of Vienna, combining research with clinical experience. She is an active member of several international expert networks and, since 2024, serves on the editorial board of Physics and Imaging in Radiation Oncology and as a member of the Physics Committee of ESTRO (The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology).
