He previously served as Head of Marketing at Euromedia, one of the largest publishing houses in the Czech Republic, where he was responsible for strategy, communications, brand development across publishing imprints, and product campaigns. Before that, he worked as a Brand Manager at Pikola, a publishing house specialising in children’s books.
He grew up reading Kafka and returns every summer to Hermann Hesse’s short story July. In Stratford-upon-Avon, he once found himself chasing Shakespeare scholar Stanley Wells through the streets after unexpectedly spotting him while the professor was browsing through his own book about Shakespeare. Ondřej’s daughter, Anička, is particularly fond of board books featuring Péťa.
