MODERN BIOLOGY

A project connecting electronic music, nature and live improvisation.

The music is shaped not only by synthesizers, but also by the surrounding environment. Live performances bring together analog electronics, voice and improvisation inspired by natural processes – vibrations, rhythms and subtle shifts of energy. What emerges is not a conventional concert, but a flowing sonic space where you can remain still, close your eyes, or let yourself be carried by movement.

Behind Modern Biology stands Canadian musician, producer and former biologist Tarun Nayar. His work bridges natural sciences, Indian musical traditions and modular synthesis. He has performed on prestigious stages around the world – from contemporary art museums and botanical gardens to international festivals – earning attention from audiences and media alike. His set gently draws you in, from the very first tone to the moment when time fades away and sound takes over.
