A Polish female vocal ensemble working with traditional polyphonic a cappella singing. Their repertoire draws on songs from different parts of the world – from Slavic and Balkan traditions through Georgia to the music of Indigenous cultures – combined with the rhythm of shamanic drums and subtle ethnic instruments. Their sound is rooted in vocal harmony, close attention to the voice, and a strong connection to nature and ritual.
Founded in 2013, the ensemble has performed in more than twenty countries worldwide. Their video featuring the traditional song Sztoj pa moru has surpassed 17 million views, introducing Laboratorium Pieśni to a wide international audience. They have released two albums nominated for the Fryderyk Award and collaborated with leading figures of the Polish music scene, including the project The Peasants, Poland’s Oscar submission. Their performances are built on the power of female voices, focus, and the intensity of a shared moment.
