This year, she performed at the prestigious ESNS festival and was nominated in three categories at the Slovak Radio_Head Awards.
Kamibe marks a new chapter in Erika’s career. “When I was younger, I told my father I didn’t want to sing Romani songs because I was ashamed of my roots,” she admits. “Now, I am proud of my heritage, and I named the album in Romani because, thanks to my father and those closest to me, I have changed my perspective. I’m happy to sing this beautiful music and push it into new contexts.” The album explores themes of loss and self-discovery, woven with bittersweet love – a fragile, emotional dance with tears in the eyes.
