Yousuke began his DJ journey in his late twenties, and it took him six years before reaching a career turning point. After that, things escalated quickly. In 2014, two major figures in the Japanese DJ scene, DJ Nobu and NHK yx Koyxen, invited him to join. This led to gigs at legendary parties like Future Terror, events with artists from the PAN label, and playing alongside Oneohtrix Point Never.
The following year, Yousuke quit his construction job to become a full-time DJ, but around the same time, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Fortunately, he fully recovered and created his party series, Zone Unknown, where he collaborated with Imaginary Forces, Aïsha Devi, and Palmistry. At one of these events, Arca joined him on stage. Over the next three years, Yousuke became a regular guest at the Berlin audiovisual festival Atonal. In recent years, he has solidified his place on the global scene, playing at prestigious events and unique venues. At the end of 2022, a set from the legendary HÖR went viral, and his recent Boiler Room session from Tokyo is on track to break several million views. “This is how I imagined nightclubs as a child…” commented one of the two million Tokyo Boiler Room video viewers.
