Singer, musician and lyricist who manages to juggle his own creative work with efforts to promote other musical discoveries in his role as a founder and boss of Poland´s Off Festival.

With reviews such as “Let’s be honest – there are very few artists like Artur Rojek in Poland” it’s clear this guy has earned a certain degree of respect back at home. Rojek spent many years in two major Polish bands – Myslovitz and Lenny Valentino – recording a number of breakthrough albums over that time. Together they travelled around Europe scoring support act gigs with top international names such as Simple Minds and The Stooges. And while Rojek loved the fame and stadium-filled attention, picking up several Polish nominations for singer and composer of the year, in 2012 he decided to throw in the band life towel to pursue a solo career and set up OFF. He had his doubts to begin with but it soon became clear he needn’t have worried: his debut album Składam się z ciągłych powtórzeń in 2014 won the hearts of Polish audiences with the tracks Beksa and Sirens becoming huge hits. And in terms of dramaturgy, these days OFF ranks among the most prestigious festivals in Central Europe. So it all turned out well in the end with even the Polish government catching wind of his efforts: the immensely popular and revered Rojek has been awarded the Knight Order of the restoration of Poland plus the silver medal for Merit to Culture.
