Unusual, mischievous and hard to classify. The world-famous trio of female singers and instrumentalists from Poland dominated last year's Czech Music Crossroads. Basia Songin, Kasia Kapela and Dobromiła Źyczyńska experiment with vocal techniques. They conduct a trance-like and polyphonic dialogue with folk traditions, which is interwoven with themes of nature, freedom, femininity and sisterhood. Sometimes they sing in unison, but more often in harmonies. In addition to their own accompaniment on violin and cello, they explore the musical potential of everyday objects used as instruments.

Sutari's work undoubtedly set a new direction in thinking about folk music in Poland. The trio has released several highly acclaimed albums and performed at Womex. As one of the few European groups, Sutari recorded a music session on the cult American radio station KEXP and won the Battle Of The Bands - World Music Network competition. They also create their own kind of musical theatre performances, video art projects, compose music for films, collaborate with musicians from all over the world and lead singing workshops.

In 2022, the famous documentary filmmaker Vincent Moon made a recording with the trio in the middle of a Polish forest, and producer El Búho collaborated with Sutari on another video.
