The deeper the dive, the greater the treasure" is one of the central lyrics that contains the hopeful essence of Gemiko's debut EP "In". The Gemiko project consists of singer-songwriters Jemma Endersby and Jenniffer Kae.
Founded in 2021, the duo's songs combine singer-songwriter with folk and world elements. Their collaboration began with the intention to "break free from the constraints of perfectionism and return to the immediacy and rawness of handmade music". This intention is reflected in the minimalist instrumentation and timeless melodies that create a space in which their voicescan unfold together. Gemiko is a musical exploration of their inner worlds, a way to honour their ancestors and celebrate their sisterhood. Most of her songs are inspired by nature and its cycles". Their debut EP 'In', representing the seasons of autumn and winter, will be followed in spring 2024 by 'Out', a more upbeat collection of songs that capture the spirit of spring and summer.
